Didn't Russell say It's time to stop the publications when they had to beg for money. It's happening.

Meetings are boring
by Akid48 inmeetings are boring for young kids and old but i'm going to focus on young kids 5 or 8.. i think is unfair that young kids get punished for falling asleep or zoning out.. as meetings are not as boring but i have to go to school the next day and staying up till 10pm isn't the best i can't get out of going.. but think of the young kids that dont even understand most of the teachings.. i know most on the site are adults but i heard of adults falling asleep..

It's painful to be reminded of how I willingly put my own kids through this indoctrination and abuse. Even I put myself through it countless times. I did it because I wanted to be supportive of my wife. That's fine, but why sacrifice my kids. Biggest regret of my life!

almost 2,000 years since the END was expected, always around the corner since the apostle Paul. You can either play along, or have fun with a challenge. How many generations of Bible students/JW's have died expecting the end in their own lifetime? 5?, 6?

Out of the world, into the Truth
by apalro infor some background - i studied on & off as a child with a jehovah's witness who has been patiently working on lots of our family for more than a decade and never gave up on any of us.
as a middle-schooler and a highschooler, my love for jehovah and any association with my childhoood bible teacher... faded.

One bad decision after another. Will you ever grow up?
Out of the world into the cult that will keep you and treat you like a child.

Why the NFL Protest Is a Massive and Insulting Failure
by freemindfade ini think everyone has the freedom to protest, they also have freedom of speech, these are two fundamental things that make america amazing.
but thinking rationally about what is going on with the nfl, therefore, i have an unfavorable opinion of the league, and the players, not their right to free speech, but their motive and execution of it.
constitutional freedom to protest ends at the workplace door too.

Excellent point by David Reuben. Except that in matters of free speech the president has "more free speech" than the rest of us. He has access to the pulpit with the biggest audience. And unfortunately his style, even substance, is very divisive.

"No thought lingers in his brain for more that a tenth of a second before it's rushed out through this dried lips, without considering of how it will sound."
So true. Sam Harris has made reference to Trump's "ability" to jump instantly from one statement to the next and without any forethought.

Hecce: "It has been going on for one year and it was picking up steam before the President's comments."
My point remains, Trump has made the protest into big news instantly and the backlash is enormous. You may be more interested in facts. That's good, but race relations in the U.S. require much more than just presenting the facts. You have a group of people that have been abused for hundreds of years and shaking out the idea that racism is no longer the greatest issue is not going to be an easy task. Trump and his supporters are going about fixing the problem the wrong way. They are going to make this country as divided as it was in the 1800's.

"I did. The facts do not seem to support the narrative of racism."
Agree, but we are moving towards a world that is very divided along color lines and nationalities. And the causes of this division go back hundreds of years, millennia even. We can all say is not my problem that others see offense and racism where there is none. However, it's everyone's problem, even when others overreact. We have to act wisely to change misunderstandings or errors of perception. Trump and his supporters, as well as others on the other side of the political spectrum, only make things worse. These situations have ramifications that will affect everyone's quality of life.

"Also, I agree Trump stepping in and stirring the pot seems to be a distraction"
No, President Trump is not the distraction, he is the issue. His unlimited narcissism is dangerous and counterproductive. He injects himself in the news and makes them much bigger all the time. I didn't know a thing about the kneeling until Trump open his mouth. The protest would have died down, but our wise president craves attention too much to let that happen.
